Bring the family or stop in yourself to the Art Museum this Saturday, December 3, 2022, for a festive evening that includes the lighting of Allentown’s big holiday tree across the street. Park for free in our large lot at Fifth and Linden Streets and tour the galleries before, during, or after the tree lighting, which is scheduled for 5 p.m. sharp. Inside the Museum you can see the exhibitions, participate in a free ornament-making workshop, and shop for the perfect holiday gift in the Museum Store while celebrating community and experiencing the spirit of the holiday.

If you are a Museum member you are invited to a “Jingle Mingle” in the Museum Café from 4 until 6 p.m., which includes hot chocolate, tea, coffee, and water along with cookies and other snacks. Best of all, you get to stay warm while looking out over the scene from inside the Museum.

The tree lighting has become a festive community celebration, and this year’s full schedule looks like this:

4:00-4:45 p.m. – Performances by William Allen High School and Dieruff High School students
4:45 p.m. – Santa arrives on a fire truck
5:00 p.m. – Tree lighting with Mayor Matt Tuerk and Santa
5:15-7:00 p.m. – More performances by local organizations

The Museum will stay open this evening until 7 p.m. As always, admission is #freetoall.
